We are two brothers: Pierre-Olivier and Xavier.

Since 2012, we have offered a unique and innovative vision of cognac.

But what is the value of inherited knowledge if we do not put it to use ? We test and experiment until the terroirs and distilleries truly come alive. We take pride in showcasing our work with complete transparency on our bottles and create distinctive sensory experiences with boldness, adventure, and authenticity.

We love pushing boundaries and challenging conventions. Because you can love rock and opera. Because you can ride a motorcycle and care about the environment. We are committed to crafting cognacs that reflect the spirit of our time, shaped by our tastes and way of life.

Harvest diary

Work hard vs play hard. The harvest season is coming to an end. Xavier et Pierre-Olivier experience it as they are, intense and fun.

Spirit of China

In February, Philbert rare cask finish Sauternes took a trip to the Beijing 798 Art District, amongst street art, galleries, bars, vintage boutiques.

Sound of London

Philbert was in East London in April. Brick Lane, Shoredicth, Hackney, Philbert feels good in these creative districts.

Born in Cognac – Nouvelle vague

Cognac Philbert launches with 4 other cognac houses : La Nouvelle Vague (Cognac Fougerat Fanny, Cognac Planat, Distillerie Merlet & Fils et A. de Fussigny Cognac).

We have a real desire to stand out by continuing this alternative approach. The fact that we are part of a group that wishes to promote this state of mind gives credibility to our commitment to the renewal of the Cognac appellation (Bureau National Interprofessionnel du Cognac).

The new wave fits in with our values. We offer a craft cognac, entirely made locally in our two production sites. We keep the imprint of a queenly nature in our brand, the authenticity of the land of Cognac. It is also a cognac in our image, resolutely contemporary, anchored in a young lifestyle made in France: a masculinity assumed between outdoor sports, electronic music, cocktail bars and design. We value our artisanal work in a very fashionable vintage imaginary.

Back to the Future: Philbert cognacs give the nod to the 19^th century distillers and the generations that came after who have handed down their professional skills in this vineyard.
